Free Comic Book Day May 5th, 2012
This is an event held across the United States to promote comic books and the reading of graphic novels. It’s an opportuniity for comic book fans and folks new to comics to get a taste of what’s out there fo them to try out and get addicted to.
A lot of comic stores hold events and make this into something to bring in large groups of customers. There will be something for everyone from kids spongebob/yo gabba gabba to Star wars and serenity for the older more intense fans to peanuts and mouseguard for the even older fans. And mixing and matching in between not saying you have to be old or young to enjoy certain comics.
This year the publishers are putting out 45 different comic books. Not every comic book store will get everyone of them, some will give you one, other stores will let you take more, others might even have giveaways or an event going on. So I suggest going out and supporting your local comic book shops. You might find something new to fall in love with.
